Knee surgery scars vanish with 6D Action vacuum massage therapy – masseur Kari Sandström’s experiences with 6D Action and 6D Tape taping

Nowadays, 6D Action and 6D Tape taping are being used a lot together – part of my massage clients have on their own request only switched to vacuum massage and the tape! As one of my clients said during his vacuum massage session: ” Put those tapes there so the old man can give them a tug.

Who are you and what kind of massage do you do?

I am Kari Sandström and I’m doing classic massage, sports massage, and 6D Action vacuum massage therapy at my clinic Hierontaklinikka Kotka. A wide variety of clients come to me, from students to retirees. Most often my clients come to seek help for neck-shoulder area and back problems. I also do foot massages and you can even find help for dizziness and headaches from a massage. My client relationships are long-term – all of my clients have series cards. Singing in a band is a way of life for me, but that would already make another story.

How did you get introduced to 6D Action vacuum massage therapy and 6D Tape taping, and what kind of feedback have you received from your clients?

It all started when I was looking for a new, more cost-effective vacuum massage device for my clinic – the device I had used earlier had become too expensive to maintain. I got acquainted with the 6D Action vacuum massage device and at the same time also the 6D Tape handle tape in Jussi‘s training. Nowadays, 6D Action and 6D Tape tape are being used a lot together – part of my massage clients have on their own request now only switched to vacuum massage and tape! As one of my clients said during his vacuum massage session: “Put those tapes there so the old man can give them a tug.”

With the help of the tape, my client can at home achieve the same effect as in my clinic with the 6D Action vacuum massage therapy: enhance the pumping of the lymphatic system, which gets the lymph fluids moving in the lymphatic vessels and removes edema and waste products from the body. Pain is often caused by swelling in the tissues, which presses nerves. By removing the swelling, the pain also alleviates.

One of my female clients, whose ankle I treated with 6D Action, asked ”What’s the idea here, is this the same as dry cupping?” I told her that with 6D Action’s pulsating vacuum, the lymph fluids are made to circulate, and for this reason also the lymph nodes are always activated in 6D Action treatment – clients who are new to 6D Action vacuum massage often wonder why this is done. I reminded the client to drink a lot of water, as with the 6D Action vacuum massage stuff is made to circulate. The pain and swelling in the client’s ankle soon disappeared.

Activating the lymph has another benefit: the lymphatic system or the lymphatic circulation is a big part of the body’s defense system. By enhancing the pumping of lymph or lymph fluid, pathogens are removed from tissues through the lymph nodes and the immune defense strengthens. In addition to the pain being removed, by regularly activating lymph, you will also stay healthier!

Knee surgery 13 times – scars nearly invisible with 6D Action vacuum massage therapy

My client has had their knee operated on a total of 13 times over the years. Of these surgeries, two were bigger than the others and left behind large scars. In addition, a large bone spur had been surgically removed from the client’s heel, resulting in a surgical wound 10-12 cm / 4-5 inches in length. The scarred area on the heel has been sensitive and hard during the summers. Now these scars have been made almost invisible with 6D Action treatment. My standard advice to clients who are either going into surgery or are post-surgery, and have not yet tried the 6D Action treatment is, “If the scar starts to bother you, you know where to find help.” See the pictures if you don’t believe me.

Arrows have been added to the pictures to make it easier to spot the scars – they are hard to notice these days.
After surgery, there was a 10-12 cm / 4-5 inch open wound in the heel. Now you can hardly identify it after 6D Action treatments.

Operated knee – 2.5 cm / 1 inch of swelling gone in a week with 6D Action right after surgery

One of my long-term clients, who first came to me for a massage in July 2022, was about to undergo a knee joint surgery. She noticed the 6D Action device at my clinic and wanted to try it. I did vacuum massage therapy on her knee with the device both before and after the surgery, and treated her other leg and calf as well. We restarted the 6D Action vacuum massage therapy for the operated knee one week after the surgery. We managed to reduce the swelling by 2.5 cm / 1 inches in a week together. Once the staples were out and treatment could begin on the scar, the end result has turned out to be great. The client has been coming to my clinic for 6D Action treatment since then and still does.

The scar extending over the knee visible in the picture and the video is from a surgical wound made in August 2022. Pain and swelling treatment started with the 6D Action one week after surgery and is still ongoing. The dark spot on the scar is because the client had fallen during a run and the wound had opened up. Now even this spot is already good. The scar on the side of the knee is 12 years old and has been made this good with the 6D Action.

What do you think are the best treatment areas for the 6D Action vacuum massage device?

In my opinion, the best treatment areas for the 6D Action vacuum massage device are the knee, shoulder, and lower back. I have also treated the elbow, and the efficacy of the device has proven good for that as well.

In addition to patients who have had knee surgery, I have treated other surgical patients with 6D Action vacuum massage therapy, such as customers who have undergone a bunion surgery. Surgical scars are often treated with the 6D Tape after the device treatment, and customers appreciate the ability to self-treat at home, with the help of a partner if desired.

Soon, I will be doing more 6D Action vacuum massage therapy and 6D Tape treatments than other types of massage, as customers constantly request them. It might pinch a little at the beginning when the 6D Action is drawn with full suction power over the tissues, but once you get used to it, the results speak for themselves and customers want the vacuum massage therapy again next time.

The 6D Action vacuum massage device is also suitable for self-treatment – and why not for pets as well

I have had a pinched nerve in my left foot, which shows up as pain on top of the foot. I have treated it with vacuum – you can also use 6D Action for self-treatment! Sometimes when the pain intensifies, I have also taped the foot by placing the 6D Tape from the ankle to the direction of the little toe and ring toe. Stroke from there, the pain starts to ease quickly. And when you treat the same spot with a vacuum massage device with a good suck, it feels nice. The painful spot is surely found, and the pain is alleviated immediately after the treatment.

I have a dog, a Labrador retriever. This golden one is already my third Lab. The previous ones were black and brown, so I have now gone through all their colors. 6D Action treatment could work well on dogs too, as their muscles also get sore. My own dogs have had growth pains in their front paws. 6D Action vacuum massage therapy would certainly work on a dog the same as on a human for treating surgical scars and swelling, for example, after a female dog has had her uterus removed. And if you wonder if you should first shave the dog’s fur – you don’t need to. I have treated a female customer’s scalp from over her hair with 6D Action with good results. Some animal clinic should take 6D Action vacuum massage therapy into trial.

In which ways do you prefer to tape with 6D Tape?

For the knee, I cut two pieces of tape and place them on both sides of the knee – from there, it’s easy to start manipulating.

For the neck and shoulder area, after feeling the location of the pain point, I attach two slightly longer pieces of tape on both sides of the upper trapezius muscles, starting from the upper trapezius and ending almost between the shoulder blades, a little above the seventh cervical vertebra.

The customer can reach the neck-shoulder area tapes themselves, but at home, help for treatment can be provided by a spouse, for example – what could be more pleasant than a shared massage moment.

For the shoulder muscle, I place the tapes on the front, middle, and back part of the shoulder muscle, so they meet at the arm bump – this has been a good way to tape if it’s a rotator cuff syndrome type issue.

For the lower back taping, I attach two tapes parallel to both long back muscles on the lower back and two more tapes on both sides slightly on top of the buttocks.

The same 6D Tape pieces have been worn by my customer continuously for up to 10 days, enduring showering well before they started to slightly peel off from the corners the first time.
